Update on my life

hey guys I know I’ve been gone for a while and sporadically posting but I was just trying to get adjusted to high school again. I just entered the DP program which is the last two years of IB in junior and senior year so there is a heavier workload. I’ve gotten more adjusted so expect to see me posting more frequently again. So here’s what happened during my little hiatus:

  • Marching band started which is always a big adjustment
  • I’ve started my junior year in high school
  • I’ve fallen in love with hummus. It’s amazing
  • I’ve been doing yoga more and my flexibility has improved a bit
  • I still only drink water so nothing new there
  •  I’ve learned that I hate balsamic dressing
  • I’ve found quite a few dream colleges that I won’t get into b/c my GPA is under they’re median but no matter! there’s always transferring or grad school
  • I want to major in Philososphy, I love it so much
  • I want to be a dermatologist or a teacher. It depends really (probably the dermatologist because it requires a bit less patience).
  • I’ve learned that I’m an orange snob but that’s because I live in Florida 

That’s it! Oh and I somehow went down a size in pants. So yay for that but now all my cute jeans don’t fit so boo :(

1 onion, chopped
1 16-oz can black beans
1 16-oz can kidney beans
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
10 oz package frozen corn kernels
2 14.5-oz cans diced tomatoes w/chilies
1 packet taco seasoning
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp chili powder
24 oz (3-4) boneless skinless chicken breasts
chili peppers, chopped (optional)
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Directions: Combine beans, onion, chili peppers, corn, tomato sauce, cumin, chili powder and taco seasoning in a slow cooker. Place chicken on top and cover. Cook on low for 10 hours or on high for 6 hours. Half hour before serving, remove chicken and shred. Return chicken to slow cooker and stir in. Top with fresh cilantro. Also try it with low fat cheese and sour cream (extra points).
